Open committees

A committee is classified “open” when its non-confidential documentation is accessible to non-committee members and “closed” when this is not the case.

Closed committees

Committees are closed when:

  1. They affect individuals in their personal capacities (e.g. selection, promotion, awards, and disciplinary committees). Examples are:

  1. Confidentiality must be maintained at all times to protect the interests of the University or any other party. Examples are:

  2. Remuneration Committee

  3. Professional Appointments Committee of Council
