Procedure: Bookmarking in UCT online help

This procedure provides the facility to add help topics to your Favorites (Internet Explorer) or Bookmarks (Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome) in your web browser. For example: procedures or definitions that you might forget or need to refer to occasionally can be bookmarked for quick and easy access at a later stage.

Procedure

In Internet Explorer

  1. In the right-hand topic pane:

  2. Click hidecontents.gif to hide the navigation pane.

  3. Right click and select Add to Favorites.

  1. In the Add a Favorite dialog box:

  2. Enter an alternative Name, if necessary.

  3. In the Create in field,

  4. Either select a folder from the drop-down list;

  5. Or click Add Folder to create a new folder.

  6. Click Add.

  1. In the top frame:

  2. Click contentsbutton.gif, keywordindexbutton.gif or searchbutton.gif buttons to show the navigation pane and continue navigating the online help.  

In Mozilla Firefox

  1. In the right-hand topic pane:

  2. Click hidecontents.gif to hide the navigation pane.

  3. Right click and select This Frame - Bookmark This Frame.

  1. In the New Bookmark dialog box:

  2. Enter an alternative Name, if necessary.

  3. In the Folder field,

  4. Either accept the default folder;

  5. Or select a folder from the drop-down list;

  6. Or click New Folder to create a new folder.

  7. Click Save.

  1. In the top frame:

  2. Click contentsbutton.gif, keywordindexbutton.gif or searchbutton.gif buttons to show the navigation pane and continue navigating the online help. 

In Google Chrome

  1. In the left-hand navigation pane:

  2. Right click on the topic and select Open in new tab

  3. Click hidecontents.gif to hide the navigation pane.

  4. Right click and select This Frame - Bookmark This Frame.

  1. Click on the newly opened tab containing the topic

  2. Click on the star in the address bar or use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+D

  1. In the Bookmark added! dialog box:

  2. Enter an alternative Name, if necessary.

  3. In the Folder field,

  4. Either accept the default folder;

  5. Or select a folder from the drop-down list;

  6. Or click Choose another folder to create a new folder.

  7. Click Done.

  1. Close the newly bookmarked tab to continue navigating the online help.
