Procedure: Setting Internet Explorer as your default web browser

Introduction

You can view the UCT help from both Internet Explorer (IE) and Mozilla Firefox. However, Internet Explorer is the recommended browser because:

• Help formatting is more reliable when viewing and printing.

• Pop-up help topics work better.

Procedure

1. In Internet Explorer, choose Tools Internet Options.

2. The Internet Options dialog box appears.

2. Click the Programs tab.

3. Click Reset Web Settings.

3. The Reset Web Settings dialog box appears.

4. Clear the Also reset my home page check box. This will ensure that the UCT web page remains your start up page when opening Internet Explorer.

5. Click Yes.

4. A message dialog box confirms that your web settings have been reset.

5. Click OK.

5. The Internet Options dialog box reappears.

6. Click OK to close the dialog box and return to Internet Explorer.
