A set of information that describes and gives information about other data, e.g. the characteristics of a scholarly output (e.g. book, journal article) such as title, author, unique identifier (e.g. ISBN or ISSN), publisher, keywords etc. The metadata values can then be used to categorise and find the information and documentation more easily in the Researcher Profile.
