The Conference Organisation sub-category is where information may be captured which relates to conferences which one has had a role in organising. Information may be captured relating to the conference title, location, dates, role, conference website address and whether this is an instance of engaged scholarship.
Each Conference Organisation entry requires a minimum of the Conference Title to be completed.
Each entry is listed by Conference (title) and Date/s. There is no restriction on the total number of entries you may add.
Log in to the UCT Research Portal website with your UCT network credentials.
In the Researcher Profiles – Home page, click Conference Organisation sub-category.
The Researcher Profiles – Conference Organisation page opens.
Click Add New under Conference Organisation.
The Add an Conference Organisation dialog box appears.
Enter the conference title in the Conference Title field.
Enter the conference location in the Location field.
Enter the conference date or date in the Date/s field.
Enter the role in the Role field.
Enter the conference website address in the Conference URL field.
If this falls into the category of engaged scholarship, ensure that the Engaged Scholarship check box is selected.
If you want to add another conference organisation entry, click Save & Add Another and repeat from Adding a conference organisation entry.
Click Save & Close.
The following message displays briefly: “Information was successfully saved.”
The Researcher Profiles – Conference Organisation page reopens.
If necessary,
click up / down arrows under Change
order to sort the Conference
Organisation listing by
priority.
