Procedure: Adding a Professional Membership

Introduction

The Professional Memberships sub-category is the area where one can list various societies and organisations that one has had a professional connection with.

Each entry is listed by Society / Organisation and Year/s. There is no restriction on the total number of entries you may add.

Procedure

1. Log in to the UCT Research Portal website with your UCT network credentials.

2. In the Researcher Profiles – Home page, click Professional Memberships sub-category.

3. The Researcher Profiles – Professional Memberships  page opens.

Adding a professional membership entry

• Click Add New under Professional Memberships.    

4. The Add a Professional Membership dialog box appears.

• Enter the society or organisation name in the Society / Organisation field.

• Enter the year or years in the Year/s field.

Saving and adding another a professional membership entry, if applicable

• If you want to add another professional membership, click Save & Add Another and repeat from Adding a professional membership entry.

• Click Save & Close.

• The following message displays briefly: “Information successfully saved.”

5. The Researcher Profiles – Professional Memberships page reopens.

6. Click the up / down arrows under Change order to sort the Professional Memberships listings by priority.
