The Invitations to Conferences sub-category provides for conferences to be listed where you have been invited in a professional capacity either as a delegate, speaker, keynote speaker, plenary speaker or a session chair.
Information may be captured relating to the conference title, location, dates, invitation capacity, conference website address and whether this is an instance of engaged scholarship.
Each Invitation to Conference entry requires at least the Title and the Invited as field to be completed.
Each entry is listed by Conference Title and Date/s. There is no restriction on the total number of entries you may add.
Log in to the UCT Research Portal website with your UCT network credentials.
In the Researcher Profiles – Home page, click Invitations to Conferences sub-category.
The Researcher Profiles – Invitations to Conferences page opens.
Click Add New under Invitations to Conferences.
The Add an Invitation to a Conference dialog box appears.
Enter the conference title in the Title field.
Enter the conference location in the Location field.
Enter the conference date or date in the Date/s field.
Select the capacity in which you were invited from the Invited as drop-down list field.
Enter the conference website address in the Conference URL field.
If this falls into the category of engaged scholarship, ensure that the Engaged Scholarship check box is selected.
If you want to add another invitation to a conference, click Save & Add Another and repeat from Adding an invitation to a conference.
Click Save & Close.
The following message displays briefly: “Information was successfully saved.”
The Researcher Profiles – Invitations to Conferences page reopens.
If necessary,
click up / down arrows under Change
order to sort the Invitations
to Conferences listing by
priority.
