The Invitations to Events sub-category provides an area where invitations to all other events, not yet mentioned in the previous Invitations to Conferences sub-category, can be listed. This includes demonstrations, even launches, lectures, policy events, press releases, seminars and workshops.
Information may be captured relating to the event type, location, dates, description and whether this is an instance of engaged scholarship.
Each Invitations to Events entry requires at least the Description to be completed.
Each entry is listed by Event and Date/s. There is no restriction on the total number of entries you may add.
Log in to the UCT Research Portal website with your UCT network credentials.
In the Researcher Profiles – Home page, click Invitations to Events sub-category.
The Researcher Profiles – Invitations to Events page opens.
Click Add New under Invitations to Events.
The Add an Invitation to an Event dialog box appears.
Enter or select the Event Type extendable select field.
Enter the event location in the Location field.
Enter the event date or dates in the Date/s field.
Enter the event description in the Description field
If this falls into the category of engaged scholarship, ensure that the Engaged Scholarship check box is selected.
If you want to add another invitation to an event, click Save & Add Another and repeat from Adding an invitation to an event.
Click Save & Close.
The following message displays briefly: “Information was successfully saved.”
The Researcher Profiles – Invitations to Events page reopens.
If necessary,
click up / down arrows under Change
order to sort the Invitations
to Events listing by
priority.
