Procedure: Deleting a Proxy

Introduction

The Proxy feature allows UCT academics to appoint a person as a proxy to manage their researcher profile on their behalf.  Existing proxies may be deleted, if required.

Proxies do not have the facility to add or delete other proxies so will not be able to perform any functions on the Manage Proxies page.

Procedure

1. Log in to the UCT Research Portal website with your UCT network credentials.

2. On the action menu, choose Proxy ® Manage Proxies.

2. The Manage Proxies page opens displaying a list of one or more proxies, as applicable.

3. Find the proxy you want to delete.

4. Click Delete for the proxy you wish to delete.

3. A message dialog box confirms: “Are you sure you want to delete this proxy?”.

4. Click OK to delete this entry.

4. The Manage Proxies page reopens and the deleted entry is removed from the proxy listing.
