All fields of existing Career / Employment Profile entries may be edited or updated if required.
Career / Employment Profile entries may be manually sorted into a logical order which will be used when generating CV’s and displaying on websites.
Each Career / Employment Profile entry on this page will be listed in a new row and will be displayed alternately in a blue / black font colour. This formatting is only used within the Researcher Profile context and purely for ease of visual display of multiple entries.
Log in to the UCT Research Portal website with your UCT network credentials.
In the Researcher Profiles – Home page, click Career/Employment Profile sub-category.
The Researcher Profiles – Employment Profile page opens with the various Career/Employment Profile listings on the page.
Click
Edit next to the Career/Employment
Profile you wish to edit.
The Edit a Career/Employment Profile dialog box appears for you to edit the applicable fields, as necessary.
Edit or select your organisation in the Organisation extendable select field.
Edit the position held in the Position field.
Select the sector from the Sector drop-down list field.
Select the type of employment from the Type of Employment drop-down list field.
In the Full-time field:
If this was a full-time position, select the Yes radio button.
If this was not a full-time position, select the No radio button.
In the Appointed From field:
Select the month from the Month drop-down list field.
Select the year from the Year drop-down list field.
In the Current Position field:
If this is your current position, select the Yes radio button.
If this is not your current position, select the No radio button.
If No selected, in the Current Position field, in the Appointed To field:
Select the month from the Month drop-down list field.
Select the year from the Year drop-down list field
Click Save & Close.
The following message displays briefly: “Information was successfully updated.”
The Researcher Profiles – Employment Profile page reopens.
If necessary,
click up / down arrows under Change
order to sort the Career/Employment
Profile by priority.
