Procedure: Editing an NRF Summary

Introduction

• An existing NRF Summary may be edited or updated if required.

• It may not exceed a maximum of 5500 characters and any input beyond the maximum 5500 characters will be truncated.

• The NRF Summary is purely text based and does not support formatting of any kind.

• The NRF Summary is a  NRF compulsory field and is noted as such by *

• If synchronisation with the NRF is required, completion of this National Research Foundation (NRF) fields is mandatory.

Procedure

1. Log in to the UCT eResearch website with your UCT network credentials.

2. In the Researcher Profiles – Home page, click on the Summary Profile sub-category.

3. The Researcher Profiles – Summary Profile page opens.

4. Edit the summary text in the NRF Summary text field.  

A maximum of 5500 characters is accepted by the NRF.

• Click Save.

• The following message displays briefly: “Personal Profile updated successfully.”
