Procedure: Editing an Other Recognition entry

Introduction

Existing Other Recognition entries may be edited or updated if required.  

Other Recognition entries may be manually sorted into a logical order which will be used when generating CVs and displaying on websites.

Each Other Recognition entry on this page will be listed in a new row and will be displayed alternately in a blue / black font colour.  This formatting is only used within the Researcher Profile context and purely for ease of visual display of multiple entries.

Procedure

1. Log in to the UCT Research Portal website with your UCT network credentials.

2. In the Researcher Profiles – Home page, click Other Recognition sub-category.

3. The Researcher Profiles – Other Recognition page opens displaying the Other Recognition listing.

Editing an other recognition entry

• Click Edit next to the Other Recognition entry you wish to edit.

4. The Edit a Other Recognition dialog box appears.

• Edit the other recognition title in the Title field.

• Edit the description and/or comment in the Description / Comment rich text field.

• Edit keywords, separated by space, comma or semicolon, in the Keywords field.

• If this falls into the category of engaged scholarship, ensure that the Engaged Scholarship check box is selected.

Saving the edited other recognition entry

• Click Save & Close.

• The following message displays briefly: “Information was successfully updated.”

5. The Researcher Profiles – Other Recognition page reopens.

6. If necessary, click up / down arrows under Change order to sort the Other Recognition listing by priority.
