Procedure: Updating Contact Details

Introduction

The Contact Details sub-category allows for the updating of various contact information, including links to your online presence such as websites and social media.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the UCT Research Portal website with your UCT network credentials.

  2. In the Researcher Profiles – Home page, click on the Contact Details sub-category.

  3. The Researcher Profiles – Contact Details page opens.

Entering your contact details

Editing your Work Postal Address

  1. The Edit Work Postal Address dialog box appears.

  1. The Researcher Profiles – Contact Details page reopens.

Editing your Work Physical Address

  1. The Edit Work Physical Address dialog box appears.

Editing your Home Address

  1. The Edit Home Address dialog box appears.

Entering your Communication details

Entering your Research Identities

Adding your Professional Websites:

  1.  The Add a Professional Website dialog box appears.

  2. Enter the website name in the Website Name field.

  3. Enter the web address (URL) in the URL field.

Saving your Professional Websites

  1. The Researcher Profiles – Contact Details page reopens.

Adding your Online Communications

  1. The Add an Online Communication dialog box appears.

  2. Enter the communication type (e.g. Twitter) in the Communication Type field.

  3. Enter your handle / user name in the Handle / User Name field.

Saving your Online Communications

  1. The Researcher Profiles – Contact Details page reopens.

  2. Click Save Changes.
