Procedure: Getting access to the UCT Third Party System

Background

If there is a need in an organisational unit to provide logical and/or physical to a third party who fits the criteria of a role in the UCT Role Model for third parties then you can access the UCT Third Party System as follows:

• a UCT staff member can fulfil the role of the requester.

  A UCT staff member authorised to request access to physical or logical UCT resources on behalf of a third party. See also: Requester?

• a line manager of the applicable organisational unit (org unit) can then fulfil the role of the authorizer.

  A role with access to approve third party requests made by UCT staff members (requesters) in their organisational unit (org unit). See also: Authorizer?

   

All users of the Third Party System must view the introductory topics and video listed below before using the system. Sign in using your network user name (i.e. staff number) and network password.
