When there is a need for a new committee and this requirement has been approved by management in the department or faculty who will service the committee and the Registrar (or nominee), then request the new committee.
Access to the Governance Intranet as a member of the Secretariat.
Documented approval for the committee from management
The following details of the committee:
Committee name
Committee abbreviation
Name of servicing officer and, if applicable, assistant servicing officer
Name of chair
Committee cluster in which the committee falls
Meeting notification period, i.e. how many days before each committee meeting do you want the servicing officer to be notified.
Log in to the Governance Intranet. See: Logging in.
In Governance - Governance page, select Committees section.
The Committees - Home page opens displaying the Manage Committees menu.
In the Manage Committees menu, choose Request New Committee.
The Committees - Request New Committee page opens.
In the Request a New Committee section:

A Message from webpage dialog box appears confirming that the request for committee has been sent.
Click OK.
The Committees - Request New Committee page reappears.
