Procedure: Adding a new Short CV

Introduction

The Short CV is one of the provided CV templates which standardises the format of the Microsoft Word document CV output.

Each CV compiled, based on the Short CV template, will contain your selection of information to be included in the final Microsoft Word output. One may compile as many different Short CV's as required. Each Short CV may contain a different selection of information and be saved with a unique name. Compiled Short CV's may be edited or updated subsequently, if required, or deleted.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the UCT Research Portal website with your UCT network credentials.

  2. Click Compile CV in the action menu.

  1. The Research Profiles – CV Templates  page opens.

  2. Click Add New.

  1. The Compile a CV dialog box appears.

  1. Select Short CV from the Output Target drop-down list.

  2. Enter a name for this CV in the Template Name field.

  3. Select your global selection:

There may be fewer fields listed in your CV than shown in the sections below, depending on how much is populated.
