Procedure: Deleting Potential Duplicate scholarly outputs

Procedure

1. Log in to the UCT Research Portal website with your UCT network credentials.

2. Click Scholarly Outputs.

2. The Scholarly Outputs – Home  page opens.

3. Click Potential Duplicates.

3. If there are no duplicates, the message dialog box appears notifying you that there are no potential duplicates.

4. Click OK and continue to step 5.

4. If there are duplicates, the Scholarly Outputs – Potential Duplicate Scholarly Outputs page opens with a side-by-side comparison of the existing scholarly output citation and the new potential duplicate scholarly output citation.

5. Select the Delete new version check box next to the new scholarly output citation you wish to delete.

6. Click Delete Selected.

7. A confirmation message is displayed: "Selected potential duplicates removed".

5. The Scholarly Outputs – Home  page reopens.
