The Moderate Scholarly Output option provides access to a list of scholarly outputs which has been uploaded in a RIS file that requires moderation. This list does not include any scholarly outputs which have been added manually.
Scholarly outputs uploaded into the following categories require moderation:
Books and eBooks
Journal Articles
Conference Outputs
Creative Outputs
Reports
When uploading a RIS file, the Scholarly Outputs module checks for UCT authors in the records and add in staff numbers for those authors which are recognised by the system. However, these may not always be correct due to the author information in the RIS file not necessarily being unique. It is therefore important when moderating to check each author to ensure that the system assigned the correct staff number, if applicable.
