Procedure: Viewing unknown scholarly output types

Introduction

You will only need to carry out this procedure if the Unknown Scholarly Output Types link is displayed on the Scholarly Output - Upload Results page.

If the scholarly output record type which has been uploaded in a RIS file is not a book, an ebook, a journal article, a conference output, a creative output or a report, then:

• the record will not be imported.

• a warning message to this effect will be displayed on the Scholarly Output - Upload Results page.

• a link to the Unknown Scholarly Output Types page will be displayed.

• follow the procedure below to view these records.

• if applicable, add this record individually in the relevant output type section in the Scholarly Outputs module, see: Overview: Scholarly Outputs module

Before you begin

• Ensure that you have uploaded a RIS file.

• The scholarly output record, contained within the uploaded RIS file, must have been identified as an unknown scholarly output type in order for the link to the Unknown Scholarly Output Types page to be displayed.

Procedure

1. After you have uploaded your RIS file to the Scholarly Outputs, the Scholarly Output - Upload Results page opens.

2. Click Unknown Scholarly Output Type.

2. The Scholarly Outputs – Unknown Scholarly Output Types page opens.

• Review the unknown scholarly output type record.

• Either Log a HelpDesk Call if you would like to request that the unknown scholarly output type is added to Scholarly Outputs.

• Or click Close.

3. The Scholarly Outputs – Home page reopens.

4. If applicable, add the scholarly output manually, see: Overview: Scholarly Outputs module to access the applicable section.
