Overview: Navigation pane (online help)

Contents tab

displays the following items:

• the table of contents (TOC) displayed as a tree structure

• sections containing help topics

• individual help topics

• web links

Keywords tab

displays the following items:

• the keyword search box

• the keyword list

• subkeywords

• associated help topics

Search tab

displays the following items:

• the search box

• the number of search results per page

• search result help topic

• search result help topic rank

• links to additional pages of search results

1. Vertical scroll bar

When the table of contents (TOC) has expanded beyond the bottom of the page, you can scroll down using the vertical scroll bar at the right hand side of the navigation pane.

2. Resize navigation pane

In order to see long topic names or expanded navigation, click and drag the horizontal divider, between the navigation pane and the topic pane, to expand the navigation pane horizontally to the required size.

3. Horizontal scroll bar

When the table of contents (TOC) contains long topic names, you can scroll across using the horizontal scroll bar at the lower edge of the navigation pane.

Hide the navigation pane

• Click to hide the navigation pane.

Show the navigation pane

• Either click
  , or to show the hidden navigation pane.

• Or click Show to show the hidden navigation pane, if accessing the help topic from a saved bookmark.
